Winter is beautiful season. We can see beautiful white snow layered almost everything, and there’re lots of fun thing that we can do. But, if we talk about bigger thing that happen in winter, there will be lot of things that we can find. One of them is Winter Olympic Games. You must know skiing and other winter sport athlete is competing in this tournament to win gold medal and become the best athlete in winter sport.

But, it’s enough with that talk. So, Where is 2014 winter olympic games will be held? If you don’t know the place, how can you watch and enjoy this big event? Don’t worry. Here is the information that you need. The Winter Olympic Games 2014 will be held in Sochi Russia. Some of event will be held in Krasnaya Polyana, one of the largest resort towns in Russia. These two towns will be held the entire event in best stadium.

Next winter olympics 2014 aren’t the first winter Olympic Games that will be held in Russia. In 1980, Russia was also succeeds to be a host of this big event. The 2012 olympics mascots name for this time is Wenlock. It has unique design and when you look at it, you will find that the most interesting part is the eyes. It has one big eye with slim body. The body seems made of silver. The other unique thing on this mascot is the bracelet. The bracelet that Wenlock wear has same color like the ring color that you can find on Olympic logo.

The Wenlock name itself came from Much Wenlock, a village that located in Shropshire. This village held an event in 19^th century that’s known as the pioneer of the modern games. With the fun design that London 2012 olympic mascots has, this will be a great toys for kids.

2012 isn’t only year of new gadget. There’re also many technology breakthrough that we can find this year. One of them is Kuafu Project, the spacecraft project from China.

Kuafu Project is a project that consists of three satellites. These satellites will be the main part that will support the space weather forecast system that China have. Kuafu Project satellites are Kuafu A, Kuafu B1 and B2. The Kuafu A will be located at the L1 Lagrangian point and Kuafu B1 and B2 will be located in same orbit as earth, but with different period and speed. The three satellites will be used for observing that Sun weather. The Kuafu A will observe solar extreme UV (EUV) and far UV (FUV) emission. It also collect the data about white-light CMEs, radio bursts, and local plasma and particle distributions that coming from sun. The Kuafu B1 and B2 will be the satellite that observes aurora borealis and inner magnetosphere. They constantly take image of this phenomenon and send the data to the data center.

This project now is waiting for the CNSA order to be launched.  And maybe, with Kuafu spacecraft, we will know what would happen with solar storm that people say it will happen in 2012.
